ASHI’s Bloodborne Pathogens course is ideal for any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties. As a result of this training students will receive a one year certification.

Lesson 2: Specific Bloodborne Pathogens - 8 minutes

Lesson 3: Hepatitis B Immunization - 5 minutes

Lesson 4: Your Company's Exposure Control Plan - 7 minutes

Lesson 5: Transmitting Bloodborne Pathogens - 4 minutes

Lesson 6: Methods to Control the Risks of Exposure - 7 minutes

Lesson 7: When an Exposure Occurs - 10 minutes

Lesson 8: Housekeeping - 7 minutes

Real-time Question and Answer Session - 5+ minutes

Written Exam (if required) - 20-30 minutes

Documentation and Certification - 5+ minutes

Training Details

The American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Bloodborne Pathogens training program will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens. In addition, the course will teach how risks of exposure can be reduced for students and others. This bloodborne pathogens certification course assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).
