August 9, 2019 – For the second year in a row, Embassy Suites by Hilton in Berkeley Heights, NJ has welcomed First In Response Enterprises into their hotel to deliver CPR & First Aid Training to their staff. Last year, we taught the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course, but this year they opted for the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid combination training due to its flexible supplemental content that can be tailored to their staff. Both courses have 2 year certifications and conform to the latest AHA CPR, Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC), and First Aid guidelines.
This year’s students included staff from the Front of House, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Restaurant, and Sales Departments. Due to the age of the guests that stay at the Embassy Suites, the staff was taught CPR and AED usage for adults, children, and infants. The job responsibilities of these employees led us to choose additional first aid training that focused on allergic reactions, burns, impaled objects, and splinting to help them respond in the event of an emergency.
